OUR VISION: We, as the Morning Star Community Church and guided by God's Word, seek to reach our community by letting the love of Jesus shine through us. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 20:18-20, 1 John 4:7)

OUR COMMITMENTS:

  • We are committed as the Morning Star Community Church to the bright morning star (Revelation 22:16), Jesus Christ, who is the head of this church. (Ephesians 4:15)
  • We are committed to being like Jesus Christ in loving people without condoning sin. (Luke 15)
  • We are committed to valuing the spiritual gifts of each believer and involving believers in ministry. (1 Corinthians 12:7, Ephesians 4:11-12)

Our ministry is based on the following five points of the star...

WORSHIP...

  • Vision: We are committed as the body of Jesus Christ to praise and glorify God in a manner that reflects His worth. (Titus 2:11-14)
  • We are committed to involving everyone in worship.
  • We are committed to focusing on God as the One who receives our worship.
  • We are committed to reflecting the diversity of worship experiences of our congregation.

EVANGELISM...

  • Vision: We are committed to helping people on their journey toward accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. (Acts 1:8)
  • We are committed to ministering to and assisting those in crisis.
  • We are committed to dispelling misconceptions of "religion" as opposed to a "personal relationship with God."
  • We are committed to introducing others to Jesus, either one one one, at home, work or wherever we are.
  • We are committed to creating a sincere, friendly, caring and supportive atmosphere at church where people will feel valued and know that God and God's family cares about them, their lives and their souls.
  • We are committed to living our lives in such a way that others will desire to seek and know the Lord.
  • We are committed to seeking God's guidance in evangelism, to submitting ourselves to Him and to focusing on Him daily by reading the Bible and praying.
  • We are committed to learning how to introduce people to Jesus Christ.

FELLOWSHIP...

  • Vision: We are committed to sharing together the love of God in Jesus. (Ephesians 4:16, Galatians 6:2)
  • Sharing - We are committed to sharing with God's people who are in need. (Romans 12:16)
  • Caring - We are committed to caring for God's flock through love and willingness to be involved in each other's lives. (1 Peter 5:2)

  • Surrendering - We are committed to surrendering to God's will for us through His answer to prayer. (Philippians 4:6-7)
